Shelves in an early 1900s UK sweet shop lined with jars of loose sweets, weighed out separately for each customer - a reconstruction in Milestones Museum,Basingstoke. Probably some of the original labels were damaged, which explains the neat comuter printouts on some jars. The jars include pontefract cakes (liquorice), acid drops, winter mixture, mint humbugs, toffee humbugs, blackcurrant humbugs, fruit drops, pear drops, aniseed balls, liquorice comfits, fruit rock, fruit pastilles, dolly mixture and jelly babies.
